About
I am a largely self taught figurative artist, working mainly in oils from my small studio in Church Crookham, Hampshire. Wherever possible, I work from life, using photos only for reference, with the simple aim of creating an interesting and believable representation of my subject whether it be a head, figure, or collection of inanimate objects. I am proud to have had a portrait included in the “Portraits for NHS Heroes” book, published as an artists’ thank you to NHS workers at the peak of the Covid pandemic. In 2024, I was awarded the Kathleen Page Portrait Prize for my self portrait at Farnham Art Society’s annual exhibition and received the prestigious ‘Highly Commended’ accolade by The Artist magazine for my still life submission. My work is widely exhibited and I feel hugely gratified that customers locally, nationally and internationally have found my art and want it on their walls.
